On August 10, 1776, a committee of Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson suggested the United States adopt "E pluribus unum" - "Out of many, one" - as the motto for its Great Seal.

| Title | Common Cents & E Pluribus Unum |
| Date | 2021-2025 |
| Medium | 12 inch copper mirror pennies (100) & 72 inch glass neon sign on black velvet panel |
| Size | 288 x 72 inches |
One hundred pennies unite to form a single dollar. Each penny contributes one percent to the total artwork. Many separate elements combine to create one cohesive piece. E Pluribus Unum.

The Role of Reflection

Through the mirrored pennies, the artwork invites viewers to participate in E Pluribus Unum. Each observer becomes part of the reflective collection—individual in their image and perspective, but essential to the unified piece.
These shifting reflections show us that our nation's core idea remains alive: unique individuals joining together as one people.
